Interesting. It looks like the new A9X might have the SLT technology built in. That would mean people that own this new radio would not need the anylink adaptor to fly any of the Hobbico TxR ready aircraft.

I've got a RC car that has a Tekkin RS speed controller. The speed controller can vary the timing of the motor. After full throttle is applied for x seconds, ramp up to x timing. I wonder if this would work (or is even necessary) for fast planes?

What I envision is this allowing a pilot to use a larger prop. Have the lower timing and more torque initially, and work up to higher timing and RPM as the plane gets up to speed. Think it would work?

i know my ZTW esc has an "auto" timing feature which essentially does what the boost feature on the tekin does, essentially though its not really needed in the long run since if your flying a fast plane you just set it to high timing since your not worried about punch out power with something like that

I will have one of the new transmitters. Unbelievable. Can't wait to see it.

Open source stuff.

Interesting watching these open source tx's develop. Specifically this one from os-rc.

And Mr. Anderson's Tx from Diydrones. Especially for $250.

After listening to the to interview with the guys from os-rc, diy drones and extreme power systems and learning about their developments in the last couple of years. Man what are they going to introducing next year. This os-rc tx will record stick positions and play them back, literally moving the sticks...crazy.
