Baby SR-71 Blackbird, pics, vids and free plans!

Here are a few pics of my new baby Blackbird. The first version glides very well with a short stack of coins taped to the nose. It needed the full fuselage built and the electronics installed, but as I was building it I realized I should have lengthened the nose a bit, thus Version 2 was drawn up, and cut out. As a wing plank with KFm glued on it glides level as-is, but not having any tails it does veres off course. I'll continue with this one, and attempt to fly it. V1 will most likely be given to a lucky little kid as a chuck glider.
It can be built as a prop-in-the-slot, or a rear-mount prop. I may go with a slot prop for quasi thrust vectoring .
I'll post more info as I learn it myself, never having done the SR-71 before.
No plans available yet, I'll keep re-doing them until I get it right. Please wait.
Edit: I inserted a pic of the plane 'junglegym' offered as inspiration. Mine is based on this, but the fuselage will not be this tall.
Edit... vids on post 39 and 46
Edit: Plans are on page 4, post 55 and Skrtchup plans on page 6, post 87 (thanks to Onkore)

Rusty, I think I'm gonna let the designer do the initial "does it fly?" test on this one.

Exactly! I fully intend to prove it flies BEFORE I post plans.

I got the SR-71 built to the point it needs a fuselage now. I'll build it later, got to get ready for work. It glides excellent with four coins taped to the nose.

I got the fuselage done, but not installed. I still need to cut a trap door for the battery, and other electronics, too. I'll glue it on later in the morning after work (I'm working night shift). I've set up this plane for prop slot, and will mount this later as well.

Danged Rusty,

The hits just keep on coming! You've got to be the most prolific
toon aircraft designer anywhere.*G* It must be the extended
hours of light up there in the 49th state. Your latest design looks
both innovative and cuter than punch. Can't wait to see it fly.
Warm regards, Jim

Thanks Jim. I didn't have enough time to continue yesterday night. I've still got to build the canopy for version 2, and hopefully will get some time later tonight. I'm off work Sunday, and can work on it then as well.
Cartoon fatties are my passion, I enjoy them a lot.
