I please need tips and advice

Hi everyone

My name is Chris.
I'm very new to this whole FPV thing. And for about 2 years i've been watching many youtube channels about FPV quad racing or just people having fun with their quadcopter. I just recently decided to buy a cheapo Chinese made RTF FPV quad to get me started. I purchased a ton of extra propellers,3 extra 3s batteries,a balancer, charger, spironet antenna and goggles. I'm having alot of fun so far....but i don't know everything. I think my current setup is somewhat good for a beginner. But maybe someone can give me some good advice...any tips and helpful answers would be really appreciated.

What are you trying to accomplish/solve/improve? Sounds like your FPV flying so far has been working and that you're having fun. That sounds like a very good start!

What is it you are doubting about your set up ? If it works, why change it ?

I think the more important question is: Why is there a peanut butter toast on your bed ?

Balanced your motors and props? Makes a difference. You will hear it in the sound of the motors when flying.

Gemfan 5030 aren't too bad out of the package. Had some ebay specials that were way out of balance.

because toast and peanut butter is good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner...lolz

I've brought several 4 packs of gemfan props.
because as a beginner i'm going thru props like there is no tomorrow.

I've having trouble actually keeping the front of the quad in 1 direction.
So far it's just seeming to lift about 5-7 feet and the body of the quad is going in circles the whole time.

As of now i haven't installed the fpv fatshark kit because what's the point really?

and 1fullbird...i've actually seen that video on youtube before.
very helpful advice for beginners like me.

as for balancing my motors on my cheapo chinese quad.
how would i go about doing that?
