You need to solder up or custom-order an adapter harness...like this one, only with the exact OPPOSITE plugs (Beast female to JST male):

The batteries themselves, however should work very well in the Slick.

Bud

ahhh dang, too much to hope for I guess, just emailed Glenn to see if he carries said adapter, thanks for the info!

Looks neat. Flight times are low, but batteries are cheap. Anyone have any stats on the zippys? How do they stack up to the turnigy and hyperions?

Wow, this is a great plane concept! I had to buy one when I got the HK email today. It's just what I've been waiting for. 1. the size: you can take it anywhere and fly it anywhere. 2. the capability: you can practice all your aerobatic skills. 3. the cost: no major loss of capital if something bad happens. 4. build quality: it's there. 5. and for batteries: CHEAP! Did I mention I bought one today??? I use 8 channel frsky, so far, exclusively so I needed to get their 4 channel receiver (US$14) and then some servo leads to solder up some JR to mini servo adapters.

Oh great! Does this mean we can look forward to incessant HobbyKing spam in the Micro section?

Why isn't this in the HobbyKing vendor section? Or the Product Announcements section where it obviously belongs.

Can you imagine what a spamfest this forum would be if other vendors made posts like this every time they released a new product?

I have absolutely no problem when members get some info on a new product and start a thread about it. I have a big problem with vendors doing it.

I was so tempted all day, but finally passed on this. $70 is a great deal, but $30 shipping is stupid. It'd be on the way if it was $14.99 shipping like it was supposed to be.
