Thanks in advance,
LP

I am sorry I missed your post......

The decals came on the plane ,bought here :
http://www.amain.com/rc-airplanes/ea...y-2011/p393353

The wheel mod was done with a set of 2 inch Dubro Super Lite tires.

They fit right on the axle with no issue or changes.

The little plastic piece on the stock wheel in the center pulls straight off.....that piece connects to an inner piece that fits on the backside of the wheel......just pull real easy and it comes off

Hope that helps, once again Sorry i missed your first post

Re the wheel mod, I used one of the original front wheels as the tail wheel - just switch as the ghost describes. My front wheels are from hobbyking & were also a straight swap.
The bigger wheels do slow it down a bit in the air, but I can pretty much land it anywhere I like now.

the_bunker - Thanks! That's a great way to mod the tail wheel.

Yes I did the same thing...the original front wheel is now the tail wheel.....

It lands very well and rolls really fast across grass .

I did not notice a difference in the speed in the air, but a lot of difference on ground speed .

Howdy,

I'm a bit confused, or more likely I'm a bit empty-headed %, about the axle size of the stock landing gear being 1.9 - 2.0 mm and the size of the mounting hole diameter of the 'Dubro Super Lite' tires being so much larger. If I'm correct, that's quite a difference and perhaps really not that important. )

I was looking at GWS (LFW-508/21) 2" foam wheels with a 2.1 mm mounting hole, but finding a vendor with 'em In Stock has been fruitless.

Regards,

LP

The 2 inch Dubro wheels I used fit perfectly and are not larger.....

the ( what i will call the "insert" ) that the wheel rides on is a 2 piece plastic spacer type thing.....IT is what slides on the metal axle per say...and what the Wheels ride on...one end is flared/flat ( outer ) to keep wheel from coming off...that 2 piece "insert " fits the Dubro 2" inch wheel with no space to spare

On the Yak -blue /white version it is white, on the Gray and Yellow version it is black.

these are the wheels I used
Du-Bro 200SL 2" Super Lite Wheel ( 2 pack )
http://www.amazon.com/Du-Bro-200SL-S...C8Y1NQQRTASSTM

I hope that makes sense ?

Have had a few days of Great flying.

Put a key cam on my Yak to see if i could get some video of my rather small unique flying field

here are the results...

Even tho it is close to a Highway, I am NOT flying over it.

Enjoy

have been enjoying the Yak very much....have been going up high and than spiraling down and then back up and do it all over again

Love how this plane floats and flies so smooth.

landings have been great ( occasional nose over at the end ) but softly. [ rough runway } do not hit the carpet at all.

The Gray/Yellow does not have flaps and honestly it really does not need them .

Been flying the Yak and Archer a lot.
