UFO Toy

Jest came across these:
SpaceWave Interactive Flying UFO Toy (0 min 57 sec)

Seem pretty neat.
Thought they'd make good prezzies for kids (or even dogs)
Anyone know anything more about them, or where you can get them from?

We have a shop here in Australia called Zazz that sell things for one day only and today there selling these but was wondering if there was anywhere else.

Edit: Was just thinking I should have put this in a heli thread. Any Mods care to move it?

Similar toys have been around for a while now. I can't think of the names, but a quick trip to WalMart should turn up lots.

They tend to be a bit fragile and don't have any form of directional control (just up and down). In my opinion, some of the 4 channel counter rotating helicopters are probably better although more expensive (approx. $39). The helicopters last a bit longer because you can control the direction a bit better. Your LHS or JCar/Dick Smith etc will have selections

Any trip to WalMart isn't going to be quick (other side of the planet I'm afraid ) but it does seem like a WalMart-ey kind of thing-ey. I've never seen such a thing-ey before though. I reckon they look cool!

I don't think they even have up and down control. In fact I don't believe there's any form of receiver in there at all.

I might just go ahead and order one from Zazz

It is called the Vectron Wave. It has no up and down controls. It senses it's heights from whatever is under it and adjusts accordingly.
