Hey guys just wanted to let you know I finished the build on my protos 500! Man this is a nice looking heli. Did a test hover and this thing is quiet, relatively speaking of course. It has a unique drive system, where the motor turns a belt that runs essentially the length of the heli turning the main gear and then tail gear. Someone pointed I had my tail boom on backwards, doh! Was wondering why I had some tail blade holder issues. Did that last night and just need to redo the wiring. Anyway just wanted to share with the group.

Very nice looking heli. Big, too! Belt drive should be pretty quiet and have less chance of gear damage.

Thanks. Its a 500 size but i heard its a small 500, whatever that means. I was thinking the exact same thing with regards to the belt drive. When a mistake happens no more stripped gears although i wonder if the belt will get messed up.

That's impressive. Very precise control in a tight space. Replace the protos with the Quark and that space works just fine for me.

Have you guys seen this video of an inverted landing?

That invert landing was amazing !!! How did he flip the heli back up after landing ?? His heli head must have no "button" installed in order to perform invert landing.

C'mon John (FR4-Pilot) You certainly should be able to fly like Kyle by now. Perhaps a little more sim time. lol

LOL is right! I don't think there's enough sim time left on the planet for me to fly like that

The closest thing to inverted landing that I ever did was when I accidentally dropped my newly repaired Guru-z while walking through the front door of my house! It did not like it!
