CTH Pinata- builds/mods/power specs

Mine is still in the mail, but I want to see what everyone else is doing. I ended up having all of the items I needed to get her in the air, but I have options no one seems to talk about.

This wing is designed to race, but I also want to fly FPV at moderate speeds and for longer periods of time. The recommended power train is very amp hungry and requires a lot of battery weight to stay up longer. I have a park 480 980 of was it 960kv that has tons of torque and plenty of push to make her go. I know it wont be fast, but will it be strong enough to fly well? I have several wings in this size that I fly with parkjet motors that RCPowers recommends for his park flyers. Im (hopefully) bouncing the needle at about 75-85mph on a 20 amp motor and a 6x4 prop. Granted thats a short flight on a single 2200 lipo with what I think is a narrower chord than the pinata. I might could add another 2200 or fly two 1500's but I many not have the room or the torque to fly that much weight. I should have mine next week some time so I can experiment.

Lets see what youve built and lets hear some raw real world data.
What motors, batteries, all up weights, and flight times are we seeing?

What kind of slow speed performance are we seeing? Are there any bad tendencies? Have you found a fix those tendencies?

The plane is definitely strong and fast, and might do ok in a race. Flight characteristics are very good. I originally had digital servos in it, but they stripped out on the second crash, so I went with Emax metal gear servos 9G

My Pinata

Motor - Medusa Research MR-028-040-2200 V2 Afterburner Brushless Inrunner
Speed Controller - Castle Creations Thunderbird 36a ESC
Battery - E-Flight 2200mAh 3S 11.1V 30C LiPo
Propeller - Aeronaut 6.5x4 and/or APC 6x5.5
Servos - 2x HiTEC HS-82mg
rx - Spektrum AR6100
Camera- Eachine 700TVL 1/3 Cmos FPV 110 Degree
vtx - Eachine ET200 5.8ghz

I can get 80mph level flight no problem.

I would suggest a similar motor.
2836 1500kv-2200kv should be good for speed.
