Life has kept me from the field so I've been flying my pitts mini in the backyard almost exclusively... and loving it!

Finally flew some bigger stuff yesterday and man was I disappointed with roll rate and yaw (rudder) response.

Can anybody recommend a 42" to 48"+ plane (EPP or balsa) that can handle some wind but also get as manic as the crack pitts?

My Telink-style EPP's just can't roll fast. I don't have their bipe though. My balsas can roll and retain energy but they struggle with rudder response.

Have you looked jnto 39 inch Crack Yak. It will not roll as fast but has good rudder response and can handle a lot more wind.

I just bought a 3dhs Vyper Bype and it is a 42" it is simply amazing how it flys and rolls but it is a balsa so it is not as forgiving as my Twisted bi if it hits the ground

I would assume very similar but can't compare for sure. The 39" CY actually does rifle roll almost as fast as it 32" predecessor. Definitely not a lazy plane.

Nice shots Jason.

Here's a few of the new CPM. Since I'm still working out the twists and turns of the Mxs Mini. Only got one trim flight on it since the winds got a little to much for the minis.

Sweet Kamikaze, you will definitely love the roll rates on the minis sometimes I just shake my head and laugh because it seems almost unreal that they will roll so quick. Yours sure looks pretty and your rack there looks like lots of twisted fun!!! I was lucky enough to have my
11yo daughter with me and she loves to take pictures normally I don't have a photographer with me but when I do sure enjoy it!!

Yeah this CPM makes it my forth mini. Two CYMs a two CPMs and MXSM, of which I love the CPM and MXSM. Though after I got the MXSM I was flying it pretty much all the time. A move to a new city really twisted the fuse and tail on it. So I pulled the back up CPM out of mothballs.

If you ever want another mini try the MXSM out. It's a combo of the best the Yak mini and Pitts mini has in terms of flight characteristics.

Well I finally got to wring out the new CPM the other morning (no video, my cam is still in a box all packed up). This one flies a lot better. Using the piece of glass from an old show case at the shop helped to build it straight. Took my time as well with this one. Now all I need is lower temps and wind outside.

It is the reccomended motor for TH I believe it is the 2202 - 2300with a 6a esc. Power is defenitly good!!! Thanks to Brad from TH I have the right motor now at first I was not happy with the power and was going to try and run 3s to bump it up and when I talked to Brad he noticed I ordered the wrong motor and hooked me up with the correct setup and I have been really happy with it since!!!
