Just wanted to inform you guys that the packs I got from Haiyin in 2011 still perform great! Nothing to complain about, no puffing, no reduced power, all is well.

Well it's goodbye Hayin,i only have a few small packs before the mail restrictons came in to play, both of the 2s 800mah packs have held up far better than the 2s 850 mah Nano Tec that many on here claimed were the same batterys wearing a different dress.

I have a set of the 35c Haiyin 6s5000 packs in my KDS Agile 7.2...Outside of problems I have had with my heli, the packs have performed really well. About 40 cycles on them. No puffing like a marshmallow...

I replaced my 6 cell 3300 with an Admiral pack from Motion. I ordered it Monday, it shipped Tuesday and arrived Thursday as expected from a competent vendor.

Has anyone determined the reason for Haiyin shutting its doors? Was it lack of sales? Regulations?

I was/am very high on Haiyin batteries but have to admit that after their initial entry into the USA market, I saw very little advertising. Most people that I spoke with had never heard the name Haiyin.

I, along with most of you, am also very sorry to see them go.

Bob

I asked Eric, he didn't reply. Herewin was involved in other areas of battery manufacturing, so maybe they just decided to leave the direct to the hobbiest business. I also was wondering if maybe they still made packs for others, and always did, but again - no reply. I thought that may be a way to try and get the same quality of battery.

Other than my one dud, all my other Haiyin packs (5) are still good. The service was always good too, and the USA warehouse was handy and efficient.

Just so you know, I wasn't advocating them. Most of my standard Nanotech's puffed, as well. Only my 3 x 1550mah 6S 65C and a couple of 2650mah 6S 35C, are still okay.

I've had a good run out of the A-Spec Lipo's though. Unfortunately they're not cheap, but appear to be worth the extra, as they are low weight for their capacity/C rating and hold their voltage well under load.
