Cool
Check these out! 8 blade rotors for 30mm and 40mm EDF by AEO!!!

AEO has set the bench mark once again by releasing 8 bladed impellers for 30mm and 40mm EDF!!!

Not only more blades but more surface area too! This means we don't have to spin our fans at 100K to get decent thrust out of them.

They have also kept the venturi style hub which has proved to help provide cooling of the motor.

.

I have a bunch on the way and am really excited about getting these into my fan units. There will be some serious Team30 testing going on at Nitro HQ soon!

It's fantastic to see a company supporting our Micro EDF hobby. Kudos to Hu for stepping up and out-laying the costs to get this happening.

.

Awesome development! They look like mini Dynamax fans! When do you get to test them?

pdawg, the rotors are in transit right now.

Len, not sure where they are for sale as yet. I've asked Hu for details.

I agree. It's a significant development indeed!

I am making up some 30mm and 40mm power units for them as we speak.

If JPower follows through and produces some 30mm EDF jets as BAJORA has hinted, these will be exactly the right stuff to use as part of power upgrades.

They definetly look very nice. Is the hole through the 40mm fan rotor 2mm? Then it would fit the 12mm inrunners with the heli tail prop hub upgrade. Easy for the massess.

Next would be motors matched and hubs to mount. Looking forward not only to you teat data, but more details on the actual design parmeters.

Freddie, I'm one of the masses and definitely easy.
Is this reference to a Walkera (?) part? Can you be explicit - I'm not sure about exactly what part is used as the adapter.

Thanks

Wish they'd get rid of the venturi, could put a lot more power through them.

i thought the venturi was to help keep the motor cool? wouldnt that allow for more power from the motor?
