Partly built sailboat (?) from yard sale

I found this and another boat at a yardsale. I dont know anything about this boat and cant seem to find anything online. At first glance, i wouldnt say that it was a sailboat, but the hardware and things included say otherwise, along with the hole in the bottom that appears to be for a keel.
I also got some "servo motors" with it. Dont know anything about those either. Quite heavy though.

Any ideas?

Not a sailboat. The shape is all wrong. The slot in the hull is more likely the beginning of an exit point for a prop shaft. Single rudder tube aft as well. Motor placed well forward in the open space. Not all that bad, but....
And the other parts are not hobby parts. Maybe original owner was trying to use some surplus gadgets he had?

Hi uyqah,

Do a search for 'Cracker box', I think you'll find more simularities with your hull.

The slot is for a skeg to keep the flat bottomed hull from sliding sideways in turns.

I would remove the paint from the bottom and cover it with glasscloth and epoxy, so it won't develop those cracks (the wood is probably dried out).

Regards, Jan.

The servo motors probably predate the modern modelers concept of a servo motor. They look like field wound motors with a gearbox, and, looking at the nameplate, are possibly recovered surplus from an artificial horizon (WW2 vintage aircraft fitting).
The slot looks rather far forward to be the exit for a propshaft, a bit narrow, too. Possibly the design had a stabilizer fin forward of midships. Not common, but not unknown, either. Possibly the builder had not decided where to mount his propshaft, or shafts.
