Help!
300 mah puff ?

I got a 300mah 7.4 etec battery about six months ago never used it its been stored in a parts case wrapped in bubble wrap for six months.

take it out this morning looks puffy. I am not real familiar with the shape of the small batteries so I may be over reacting. Can someone confirm weather This is a dud.

Yep, they are vacuum packed at factory, so they should be hard. squishy is no good. To dispose of them discharge to 0.0v by using a lightbulb or resisitor. Then you can safely discard in the trash.

Unlikely, but it can severely puff the pack and hemorrhage it and cause a fire. So, yeah, definitely not good.

There have been 9 reported fires from shorted packs. I'd use a lightbulb/resistor.
