Save yourself some money and just get one of the Chinese knock offs, I've been testing one for a few days and they work as good or maybe even better. check out the thread on it in this section.

Thanks,
I think I will do that, think I saw one on Ebay.

Hi there guys, I just got my Naza M Lite I was wondering is there any good reading where I could look for tuning and optimizations ? This thread is quite big and are there are any tips about wiring and configuration of Naza ?

Does anyone know if the clone GPS modules have a SAW filter built in to remove interference (unlike the actual Naza GPS)?

Maybe somebody can light me up:
I just was told that a defective or loose GPS has an effect on all flight modes, not only the GPS mode. Can't believe that, I always thought that, if f.e. a GPS pole breaks and the GPS disk then just tangles at the side of the kopter and if I then would be able to switch to man-mode quick enough, the kopter would still be flyable (the same with att-mode). Maybe s.b. here knows for sure?

I tested for you

In this video, at 3:30, the GPS pole rotated.
In GPS mode there was a huge drift to the side, more than what I could counter with the stick.

I switched to ATTI, and brought it closer, there was still some side-drift, but less than in GPS mode, I don't know why, in theory it's not using the magnetometer in ATTI mode, all I know, it was not flying alright.

Switched to Manual mode for the descent, and there for sure the GPS tangling had no effect at all.

GPS mode until 3:52
ATTI until 4:01
MAN until the end.

TX for the involuntary test - you really had luck!
Now I Would like to hear an explanation from the experts why att-mode is influenced from a defective GPS...

Possibly if the GPS unit is detected it tries to use the compass heading from that to help identify uncommanded yaw?

The manual for lite on dji.com will help with wiring. Also go by dji recommended settings for gains for a good start. Go by the weight of your machine

im guessing it has to keep the GPS active, incase at any time you select return to home, it needs to know where it is at all times, in all but manual mode - manual mode is the fail safe mode i guess?
