HK DuraFly Micro Slick 360 2S - Official Thread
This is Dean from HobbyKing, boy have I had the itchy thumbs to press the "post" button on this thread.
When the idea of the DuraFly Slick 360 Micro plane was conceived I wanted a hardcore micro 3d'er that one up'ed all the competition but didnt break the bank, because I like to crash alot. I chose the Slick 360 design because the prototype version of the full-scale plane has a very tall fuselage/canopy that was just screaming "Knife Edge Harrier me please".
Anyways, Alot of love went into the development of this plane and no corners were cut in the designing and electronics. I can go on and rant and rave about how awesome it is but I will let the pics and video's speak for itself.
Turnigy AP05-3000kv motor ( popular upgrade motor used on other micro's)
4-Digital micro 1.7gram real servos
Turnigy 6amp ESC
Moulded Battery compartment
Nylon Aileron Hinges
Magnetic Canopy (you actually dont need to use tape)
- The box is very small for cheap shipping, all you need is a FlightMax 2S 180mah 15c li-po and a micro rx with 1.25 molux connectors, the OrangeRx R415 is compatible.
- HobbyKing is really stepping up its game with our new DuraFly Micro line and all I can say as of now is theres alot more where this comes from Please give me some feedback on this product.

Nice to see Hobby Kings new planes are as good as, and cheaper the the E-flite planes. That Demo pilot "Extreme Dean" really shows the aircraft's capabilites. His thumbs really sell the plane. The bottom and top of that plane have a great color scheme and I noticed it was easy to follow through the fast rolls. Envalope seems wide: both fast and able to fly slow: I like that. Maybe a Yak next: hint hint.

Also thinking about buying it, but my biggest problem is:
Parts, parts, parts. Are they available anywhere? Because it does look like an awesome airplane, but crashes happen. I like to be able to get my parts easily. Even a simple spinner, but worst case, a wing, elevator, etc.... Maybe a spare fuselage kit would be nice (no electronic), just in case...

Also, we will have full parts support on the site for the Micro Slick in the next couple weeks.
