FMS 90mm EDF

This may be a new FMS product, whether that be the EDF power system or maybe the jet. The video states that the jet has a 90mm 12 blade EDF. I haven't seen any further information on it yet though. It may just be a RCLander Mig with FMS's 90mm power system.

I fly the RC Lander version using a CS 70mm EDF and 4500mA 6s 45c pack . The Mig-17 is a tough nut to land b/c the fuse clearance is VERY little and you must land with horizontal attitude or the tail will strike the ground and bounce.

Pretty sure it's the RC Lander Mig. Though, I've seen that FN-RC has posted info on a newly developed FMS 90mm EDF combo...

So is FMS going to get real in the EDF market, because why would they need a 90mm unit?

I hope they do.

Their warbirds are nice, and the FMS 64mm rafale i have flies well... but it's a big jump to 90mm

Freewing could use some healthy competition.

Hmm, it very well could be the Lander version. It makes me curious if any large jet like a 90mm+ will ever show up from FMS. I did notice that they are making EDF units also, which is interesting. A little strange, but that's okay . That might mean something or absolutely nothing at all, LOL .

They will probably make planes.

It serves no purpose for them to make just the EDF unit. Their "brand" is PnP Foamies... Especially with so many high-performance EDF manufacturers that already exist.

No one goes "hmm, I need to get a motor for this ARF i'm building.. I'm going to get a FMS motor!

Yep, I don't think it would be the smartest of moves to create just a power system in hopes of hoping a dime. There's many great options out there already, so it would be just white noise. I do happen to want them to enter the jet market on a larger scale. The new potential competition may benefit us customers.

FMS is not new to the EDF game.. Why not step on Freewing's toes with some New EDFs ... Just like Freewing is stepping on FMS toes with new Warbirds ... Go for it I say ... Good for us with more competition..

That looks very much like the red bull PC version of the RC lander MiG 17. Minus the decals.
The servo arrangement on the tail looks exactly the same as mine.

Don't think so .... Freewing are large enough & been in the game long enough to do their own thing... Regarding FMS making the Durafly ones maybe once upon a time but I read somewhere that it ain't no more... That's why their prices have skyrocketed... Apparently someone else is manufacturing it for them now... Don't quote me.... If someone on this thread has any info to the contrary please step up & correct me..

The durafly warbird price skyrocketed, but so did the quality.. if you could call the price skyrocketed. Still cheap for what you get compared to Markup-flite.

It only said it used FMS 90 MM EDF. The plane is RC Lander's old plane I believe.
