James has one of these , Saw Joe S fly it in person and at our local field. Looks good. Like a nice replacement for the AMR.

I hope it has a little more weight than the AMR, and carries more energy through moves. Anyone know the wing loading on this one?

AMR was 9.5oz/ foot wing loading and an AUW of 38.5oz

Joe could fly anything with wings like that. That said, I liked the vyper mono but wished it was a bit more floaty. Enter the bipe. Looks like a winner. Of course if EF made a bipe we wouldn't be having this conversation...

from my understanding the wings on this are a lot more easy to remove than the AMR. This plane was under development for more than a year as well because as usually 3dhs doesnt put out a bad flying plane

$300 seems a bit much for a 42" bipe

So for anybody looking to pick one of these up they are on sale at 3dhs until saturday

Nope. Most bipes don't interest me. Expensive and a pain to deal with usually.

42" Wingspan, but really a 48" class plane... also, many more pieces, included stand, and just an insanely awesome new way to attach and remove the wings...

While it is a bit more expensive than a standard 48" plane, like I said above, it has its reasons for being more expensive.. It's got to be the easiest bype to install and remove the wings on... I typically agree with you and stay clear of bypes, but I just acquired one that was won in a contest at another 3d site and let me tell you, im excited to have this bype in my collection!

The insane pitch authority and roll rate looks like something you could only create on a sim....

Before you write off this bype, try to see one fly! I saw it in knoxville and i loved it! never planned on getting one before that..

Looks a bit short coupled for my tastes. Great for advanced 3d but twitchy for an average pilot like me. Also noted wing rock. I'll pass.

It is definitely advanced! The wing rock I saw too, but looks more like wind knocking around a small plane.

I would probably reccomend this to the more skilled pilots with quicker reaction. Newer pilots could get into trouble with this monster!

I have seen this one in person. In the right hands it seems nice. But hard to travel with, and battery goes in the bottom. Nice plane though. I like bipes but if I got one it would be much bigger.
