yes, easily enough. I use a $6, 2826mm, 1000kv motor with the stock prop, and I'd expect you to get 20-30% more power with the higher kv, better quality SK3 motor.

Mine climbs with determination even with FPV gear onboard. Cruises at 40-50% throttle.

What size prop are you planning to use?
With the 1240 kV you may need to use an 8 or 9 inch prop to get the thrust needed.

His motor will do fine with the stock prop, after all it is a 1240kv motor.

The 40A ESC however is a bit "overkill". A 20A ESC with switching BEC is more than adequate.

Have you seen the tiny stock props? I think these motors would be wasted on the stock propellers.

Try APC E 7x5. My guess is that these motors will pull less than 20A each on those props and 3s power.
Keep an eye on your motor temps. If they run hot, prop down a bit.

Wait...does the Easystar II fit a prop with a diameter greater than 6"? I'm only familiar with the old one...so my comment about the stock prop might be off base.

The larger, high pitch stock prop of the ES ll is a major difference between the two, so YES, your comment is very off. I suggest you edit/delete it before somebody else not bothering to read through the thread makes a mistake because of it.

MPX recommends a 2830mm 1100kv motor for the stock prop, and a very long list of ES ll owners have verified this on their own planes.

The stock prop provided in the Easy Star II kit is a 7x6" folder.

What size is the motor?
2836 (~60g) will probably handle it.
Near vertical possible.

My guess is that it will not handle the stock prop. Probably overheat quickly and let the magic smoke out.
Check it with a motor calculator like e-calc or the likes.

Henk is right: Too high KV - I can only say "Good luck"

Why won't people read the posts and/or use the search function? There must be 500 qualified posts on suitable motors for the ES1 and 2...

oh, my bad.

Curiosity...

My tailplane broke a wing a couple of times and I glued it, adding some thin tape too.

Then it has been broken harder, the elevator has been ripped away and I had to put a small carbon rod to reinforce and and strong tape to hold everithing better.
I ordered a new one one month ago but it's still travelling around the world.

Now the tailplane is fat and weights 26 grams. How much weights a pristine (or almost so) one?
