New build - but need advice
I started a build log for a new baby bird:
If any of you 3D gurus out there have time look at the video and the layout. I am very please with the plane overall but the knife edge is not as stable as I wish. Is it the size of the SFG's on the tail, or what might I try to improve it?

i have messed around with a couple mini builds and i think the weight is critical. even in the more forgiving 32inch class lighter makes everything better. here is the specks of the twisted crack mini. by all reports it can handle no extra weaght and must be flown power" on"
Wing span – 24” / Length – 25”
AUW 90 - 100g
2000-2350kV Out-runner motor (12g – 14g)
2s 180 – 250mAh battery
(2) 3.5g servos
Prop: 6x3 to 7x3.5 GWS DD
i would say that 90g should be a target for the build. you can get a fairly stiff plane out of 6mm light 3pp and .5mm carbon rod. for trussing.
while dolor tree is cheep, stiff and available, it is rather heavy compared with the materials used in the professional kits of this size; 4mm epp or 2mm depron skelotonized. small planes are way unforgiving of extra g.
you may also find that lower throws make the plane more fun (and easyer to film)
it does look fun to fly though and the profile looks right! t canalizers seem to help and are worth a try!
