My new sapac T45 with scale struts!
Got to fly my new bird I got from Bobby at RRE models this weekend. He had it receiver ready, nice work, I just added receiver and struts
 . Flew great. Here is some pics with the new scale struts on it. Got about 8 flights on it, very nice flyer. Thanks also to Mike at Sapac, always around to answer qustions!!Z |

nice put some doors on those legs .....have you seen the T-45 mod thread ? you should post some pics in there too.

SWEET! I am working on my T-45 right now, little by little. I just ordered those struts, man do they look good! What is your electronics setup? also doesnt look like you jet has the rudder mod?

Zman -- I am finishing the Sapac foamie t-45 and would like to install a set of landing gear like yours. However, I can't find it on the RRemodels website. Can you show me the link to the gear's listing? Thanks.

OKay. I found them http://www.rremodels.com/scalestruts.aspx. They are pretty expensive. Anyone know how they compare to the Fly Fly Hobby struts?

Nice! When I saw the Boogie Hawk on scale gear, I thought it really made the plane. I liked just watching it taxi around
I see a lot of Hawks without the canopy frames painted in. I think it needs it. Steve C |

Personally, I think the Sapac ones you linked (the same one I have)are well worth the money. They are VERY functional and come with the aluminum wheels. 99% of time in this hobby, you get what you pay for. Havent looked backed since putting mine on.

How do they mount to the plane? Can you show a picture of your set up? Is the nose wheel steerable? Thanks.

I am using the sapac retracts and they easily mount to those. Yes, my front retract and strut is steerable via a pull pull cable and servo. I am sure you could use these with fixed gear with a little mods.

Those are pretty.
I am considering this jet, and the struts. Do they look like they can handle a decent but not perfect grass field? |
