Just sent you the info...
Take a photo of Vervey as you pass by...

I'm repeating myself...
I hate it!
Every time I do it...
Daron's wing is almost done.
The black has been sprayed, so now just the yellow trim!
Just to avoid doing another colour for the plug..
This fuz will, be yellow too!

Don't think I like it!
The colour scheme and the execution!
I should have stuck to the base colour and added the trim in vinyl!
Lots of masking..
The release agent is still apparent as the edges were "tearing"
I should flat it down and start again!
B U T
I think I'll just write it down to experience!
We'll have another plane to fly the crp out!
We still have some fish eye in the painted mould!

wow he's been pretty specific about the scheme huh , I like the underside, not sure about the top tho.
top painting skills J
I dont have the patience to do all that masking etc.... yeah I know it shows

The one fairly good thing is...
That with paint, the wing weighs
Better than Zally1 at 250g!
But I must say, that Zally1 never felt heavy in the air.
This one should be even better!

I've severed ties with her now..
She's with Sean!
He has to cut in all the servos
and live aileron hinges..
I have shared with Daron...
Do your own touch-ups!

2K Paints & Fisheyes
Spraying some 2 component paints into molds can be pain. Here is how I do it:
1) Use the fastest hardener & reducer that you can get your hands on.
2) Read the instructions to determine how the paint can be "forced dry". Most Urethanes can be forced dry by either Infared light or short periods of elevated temps after a short purge time. Some high velocity paints can be fully cured with short wave IR light as quickly as 5 minutes.
3) Mist on your first coat and use either IR light or the appropriate elevated temp and time. This with get your mist coat to a point that will prevent it from being softened by the following heavier coats. Your hot box can come in pretty handy .
4) Then hit it with a nice flowing coat.
Option 2 - Allow your mist coat to set for a long time before hitting with heavier coats.
Option 3 - is to spray the mold with PVA, let it dry, and then you can spray your flowing coat right away (no misting required).
Option 4 - Use an anti-fisheye agent that is added to the paint. Some manufactures make it and some don't.
Option 5 - Some paints can be put on really heavy till the fisheyes fill. This can cause really long cures times.

You are a wealth of information, and much appreciated!
I think I'll try a combination of option 1 & 2...
Don't know if I'll come right with the fish-eye inhibitor,
but will ask!
Thanks for your input!

"Theboxes" should arrive soon...
I'm not too sure which fuz was sent to you, but I think it was one that was slightly heavier... at 65g (I can't remember)
You know the story...
But it looks good!
One of Vic's old flying friends will be coming to the UK at the end of the month.
So if we can get our vacuum pump going...
He can bring one along if you wish!
You can adapt your carbon Sally's wing and keep her out of retirement for a while longer..

I cant wait to see what it looks like in the flesh!
Weight isnt an issue, I'll be putting a larger span wing on.
My bros training is coming along at a high rate of knots so I've already given Carbon Sally to him, that'll keep him on his toes

Below I have some shots of Darons Zally. I just cut the live hinges. Johann is putting the pressure on to have it ready for Sunday as we have some good wind predicted. Tomorrow I will fit servo's. Note Pasty, the hinge is at the bottom.

I think it's that dusty pink...
Worries me a bit, but I think you are right,
It needs some bold signage to break the symmetrical lines a bit!
Nice clean angular cut there Sean...
Mine ended up all square, and effected the hinge line a bit!
Sean's is up next!
Who can guess his colour scheme???
