So where does one get Hitec Dual Con rx crystals from in Australia?

Well I have been searching the internet for months now without any success....

So I'm putting it out there....

Where the hell do you get Dual Conversion 36 meg crystals from?

Especially 36.470 Mhz?

I'll hold my breath and wait for the answer......

I seriously doubt you'll find DC crystals anywhere anymore.

Is it for rx or TX?

Yeah I'm guessing it's a bit like Beta video now.....

Bit of a bugger though for an older guy who has been flying for years and has 30 or so Rx's and chooses to stay with 36 meg (I'm looking for 36.470 MHz specifically as Rx only ..... need about 5 of them)

On a side note I can find thousands of 72meg rx DC crystals

Be worth asking in the Wanted thread at http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1585699 as someone may have a 2nd hand crystal. Ive got a number of single conversions but not in that frequency, that I will never use again.

I have a hitec module HPF-Mi and matching rx 08RO on 36.150 if that's any use. Both are new. Also why don't you try some synthesizing Rx's like the JR R77s? don't need crystals then I have about half a dozen of these I kept in case I wanted to use 36 again, doesn't look likely...

Yeah E-RC
I have a number of corona synth receivers I guess that's where I'll be going from now on....
But I have to come to terms with having Rx's that are now redundant and put them in a box under the bench....

Such is life

Regards

These are showing up in the Model Engines catalog: http://www.modelengines.com.au/retai...4647_item.html so you could call them.

I have a few (hundred) Xtals (27, 29, 36, 40, & even some 72 Mhz) still in drawers awaiting packing for recycling, the remnants of a long career of R/C manufacture and servicing.

There are 12 Ch 647 Rx DC Xtals (47.170Mhz) in the drawer, you are welcombe to them if you send me a stamped addressed padded postal bag.

PM me for my address if you want them..

Cheers, EGB.

That's a good offer for you.
Sadly the old 36 has had its' days. I converted mine over to 2.4 when it suddenly lost range and caused a scary flight and never missed those long antennas for a second. Unlike you I only had a couple of RXs for it but I still have a the Rxs even though I gave the TX to my son in law.
Unfortunately only certain crystals work with Hi Tec and that is where the problem lies.
Hope you can get them running again.

Yeah, just watch the plethora of dorks telling you that 36 meg is for losers.

They're probably the same kind of guys that said that old GT falcons and Toranas aren't worth

Sorry, all my old Futaba/JR/Sanwa spares have gone to recycling, only the Xtals and generic electronic components left now, and some old servos and stuff I will be puting up on ebay.

Cheers, EGB.
