screwdriver bit

Not anything stunning or cutting edge. I modeled a phillips bit this morning for an assembly improvement project at work (hand-driven problems with cam-out and off-axis alignment). In the process I found out a LOT more about what goes into this easily overlooked common implement.

I went as far as looking up the original '30's patents on screw & driver. If I can find the exact geometry, I'll revisit this one.

You guys are pretty good with your chosen tools. I am dabbling in a fuselage for a future project. What do you think it is?

Eric B.

BTW it was done in Inventor v5

This fuselage is ~60in. I have a 110mm fan for it when and if I do build it. I can scale by spreadsheet/formula so it could end up being any size..

Cheers,

"Super Swift" for FPV

Hi All,
I just found this forum and thought I would share my latest project here. It is a custom FPV frame for a maxi swift wing. I did the modeling in Solidworks.

Sidenote: Does anyone have access to a waterjet or CNC mill for hobby purposes who could help me cut G-10 Garolite? If you see my project post, I could not cut it with a laser cutter.

Here is a model I started working a couple of weeks ago.

Hughes 500, TOW Defender. This is done with 3D Studio MAX 3.1, I know, its really really old.

This is a quick 360 render.

XMB-X Hughes 500 TOW Defender (0 min 13 sec)

This is the thread where I posted the stuff.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1180953

This is going to be a scale heli when its all said and done.

Cheers.

SW2008. 12-16kRPM, 1.2CC engines don't really need bearings. It's actually a Norvel .074. I'm working on some of my own designs, but nothing I'm going to show just yet.
