wingman, the nose gear and main gear doors remain closed when gear is down on the real bird cant you just take a few hours of vaca and come in late lol!

Yeah but I thought it just looked soo cool with the doors open while sittin' on the ground..

Once it lifts off seeing the doors open prior to retract should be cool though too.

well typically the doors would sag open after the bird was shut off, so you could always open them on the way back to park it under your 40 ft shade tent lol. you need to get a sign for that shade tent that says T-38 parking only haha.

dang, i hope the weather gets good for you on sunday! charlotte should come and video it for you! i still think it would be awesome to have the camera on the tip on the rudder looking down to see all the flight controls....

Yeah I kicked around where to put the key chain cam for the first flight, either hat mount or tail mount. Hat won out for flight 1, if I get passed that then tail mount for flight 2. Wish I had two or three of those little cams.

Thanks Ron, Looks like Monday morning is the day. Canopy maker is doing a great job, I was thinking it would make me feel much better knowing I was putting his A++ work on a plane that had it's maiden completed.

Oh heck yeah...you know me..I will show up with a beer cooler full of batteries.

Didn't have room to haul the two chairs I built this thing on so I picked up a couple plastic folding rigs to take to the lake bed for set up.

Have a nice flight. Sometimes these first flights are so nerve racking that you only feel relieved when it's done. I hope you manage to actually enjoy it a little. It's going to look amazing in the air.
