Very nice inflight pictures 619! It is not easy to catch the bird with the camera. Thanks for sharing!

New skin and paintjob. This is my First attempt on glassing and I'm pleased with the result. I have had to give it 75 grams of Lead in the nose and relocate the battery all the Way up the nose to make it balance on 60mm from leading edge - hope the power system Can handle the extra weight (280 grams in total with glass, epoxy and paint).

I know. It might be a "crash'n'burn" re-maiden - but I have learned a lot by this First attempt, so its ok if it goes wrong

one thing i learned with my 109, is plenty of ground speed before you even think of pulling up!

once your in the air, and at a good altitude, pull the power back, and start to feel the bird. find her happy speed,

I made the mistake of trying to take off with out enough ground speed once, never again............ being as she tip stalled and smashed into about 50 different pieces.

I now fly the dynam spit, and she is so docile when you want/need her to be, and aggressive when you want. Not saying the 109 is a bad plane, i think that PZ could have done a better job on her.

I have completely forgotten how well behaved this 109 is. It has been sitting in "the workshop" for more than two years (a bad crash with fuselage in 4 parts and wings in 3). So 3 weeks ago I decided to make it my First attempt on glassing - just to see if I had the patience for glass work. And since the bf109 was on its way to the trashcan, I might as Well hone my "skills" on something "worthless". But holy crap what a sweet sweet plane this is - even as a bellyflopper. Just had 3 times 7 minutes with it, and it did everything I asked it to even with the extra weight. Its so much easier to fly than my fokker DR.1 - thats a handfull. I'm very happy with the result, and I might Do the same with my PZ spit.

My poor old 109 was ready for retirement. Decided to convert it into a ME109rufe ;-)
