You're just up in Tustin. Where do you fly? I can maybe join you if the scheduling works.

Would be great to have you. I fly at the Great Park in Irvine (re: OCRCC club) and mostly at the Orange County Modelers Assn.'s field near Irvine Lake (http://www.flyocma.com/). I fly during morning hours on week days only. These places have hard landing surfaces, so I will find a grass park somewhere close to maiden this first and get the bugs out. Thank you.

I'll be up your way Thursday around 1pm. Want to tell me a field location and I'll bring my 31" Superman and my new Ironmen, 46 and 62 inch.

Couldn't reply before Thurs. Sorry. The best field for you would be the Great Park http://ocrcc.com/info.htm This gives the directions and info. Weekends would kill the crowds with your Flyguys. Need an AMA card and sign a waiver.

I go by there once or twice a month. Will make a point to stop and fly the next time.

I put 2mm thick plastic skids over foam on the bottom. Hopefully Flyguy will skid some on hard surfaces. Now comes maiden time!!

Thanks, Otto. Well, I flew Flyguy 3 times, and it flew straight, but I could not roll it. It had no response even at max ranges of the roll stick. The elevon roll range spans toe to heel on Flyguy. It seems to be a little underpowered. I have the 50W setup. So, maybe the 3s setup will improve airspeed and get more wind over the elevons.

I fly mine 2s and he rolls well. My guess is the CG is too far aft. By going to 3s you will move the CG forward and move faster.

No paper on depron at all.
You can purchase depron et al at RCFOAM.com.

Paper would make things a bit heavy IMHO.

I wouldn't do this in anything other than 3mm Depron due to weight. I highly recommend Balsabuddies.com for cutouts if you don't have access to depron.

or hoosiercutouservice.com
Same place just a new domainname

balsabuddies is a left over name from a non RC product
in a previous business.

Well, finally got my 3s, 500mAh lipo from China and flew my Flyguy yesterday. It flew and landed great with lots of power on a hard field, but could not roll it to the left. Maybe motor torque had something to do with that. Had plenty of elevon throw. Suggestions please? Thank you.
