We just need to convince you to get some bigger planes....with smoke....and lots of noise....and come fly with us!!!
Thanks for the huge compliment, Silly, but I reckon there were just as many top 3Ders in your indoor video a few posts back . It was good to see Ken in your video. I used to fly with Ken at Donvale about 6-7 years ago. He used to think I was nuts turning up month after month with 500g foamies to fly in there whilst everyone else had 150g-250g planes. Mid-airs usually ended in my favour . Is Tim in your video liftytim?

Thanks for the encouragement, but I can't see myself getting large planes. I love the convenience of the smaller ones in the 37" to 48" range. Their lower cost is a bonus when the planes don't do what I told them to do

Hi guys,

Great videos as usual, nice to see people getting out and about again, hoping winter will let off soon so we can get more flying in.

I have been busy putting together a small website together

http://www.rcpropdata.com

Its a basic little site that keeps a record of submissions for 30cc and higher engine/prop combinations. thought I'd post it here if you want to submit some data that would be awesome

future updates will include electric motors and smaller motor sizes but that is down the track and maybe after i find a better relational database instead of googledocs

Hope all you guys are doing well

Jack

I can vouch.

Natesh is freaky good/10.

That poor KMX gets thrashed.

thanks guys.. nice flying by many here too.

hehe yeah Olie, KMX is too thrashed to fly atm.. and thanks, but you should get an award for guts with trying stuff low and hard, despite the risks! lowest possible exits from spins comes to mind haven't seen you out lately, have to catch up soon

until KMX is fixed I've only got the telink extravaganza to muck around with.. it's not bad, and takes a beating

Thanks Andrew. I've moved house since you visited, but only a few minutes away from my previous place. I don't have any planes that are ideal for indoor flying. My lightest plane that is well-mannered enough for flying in small areas weighs about 700g and flies on 3S1500 lipos. I also remember a high repair time to flight time ratio when I used to fly indoors. I don't wish to buy specialised indoor gear again after I sold it off years ago, so I'l stick to outdoor flying.

Hey guys,
I haven't done any new vids lately (although I have been flying a few times in Melbs...a bit chilly at the mo methinks Silly!), but I just stumbled across this short one from a few months ago. Gotta find a good local park for 60" planes. This is a bit irresponsible. I don't ever recommend grabbing the tail.

Hey Brett, yeah I've got a few more flights on the 83" MXS - took it out again last week. Got a bunch of new Revolectrix 4000 mAH 6S packs and it is a great setup on 12S. Plenty of punch and the electronics don't break a sweat. Weather has been a bit average so not much flying going on at the mo. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1436143388.950789.jpg

Well, work has got me down, bloody long hours, i have a fair bit of work left to do on her but the Yak is almost there, some pics below.

left to do:
mount motor, already lined up and spaced, just add my additional ply layer, drill and bolt
servo up the wings
wiring and tank

I've done my usual spray job on the canopy (Can't stand clear canopies)

KDMAS is my local club which is where i mainly fly, although with IMAC taking over my time i'm probably going to find my way into other clubs that are more IMAC suited as time goes on
