Great shot. Imature red tail. Probably a male judging from it's size. He'll get his red tail feathers after his first molt.

Sparrow hawk (kestrel) more of a pet.
Red tail....Great for rabbits.
Coopers hawk. Quail, dove,.....(high strung and CRAZY)
Harris hawk.....all around good hunter and temperment.
