VRX 250 Personal Fly Robot SDK By Virtualrobotix (15 min 9 sec)

In this video you can see the first fly review of VRBrain micro 5.0
VR Brain Micro 5 Auto Take off , Waypoint Navigation and Auto landing (1 min 22 sec)

VR Brain Micro 5 Auto Take off , Waypoint Navigation and Auto landing (1 min 22 sec)

In this test you can see the great quality of new magnetometer and gps . Emile doing an automatic fly . Set by VR Pad Station 3 waypoint , the last is an RTL . The drone take off from Emile's hand then land exactly in same position Emile don't move from his position during all the automatic fly test

Dear Friends,
I worked hard in recent weeks to test the new micro VRBrain 5.0
To test the card I used the frame I called our "Personal Robot SDK Fly" The configuration I used for testing and 'the following:

Frame VRX AV250 with Prop Guard
- Micro VRBrain 5
- VR GPS Ublox LEA 6
- 4 10 Amp ESC with Firmware SimonK
- 4 2400 KV Brushless Motors
- 4 Carbon Fiber Propeller dda 5 inches.
- 1 Battery 2200 Mah
- Receiver Futaba SBUS R7008 SB.
- Transmitter T14SG.

During the tests I carried out flight tests and reliability in a stable manner. I flew in different boundary conditions without having any kind of reliability problem. I made flights in both indoor and outdoor.

End the tests with flight manual I started the automated flight test . The GPS took our new GPS VR GPS uBlox LEA6, the main feature of this GPS and 'to have on board the new sensor HMC 5983 with automatic temperature compensation and more accuracy and immunity to electromagnetic interference.
In the tests we performed automated test of loiter mode, hybrid loiter, return to home and waypoint navigation.

Given the excellent results of the tests we have decided to close this firmware revision of the first software will be installed on the cards that will come over the next week.

Nice work,

Do you have a schedule for the VR GPS /Compass unit? I will fly the VRBrain mini as soon as I have it, but I want to upgrade the configuration with GPS next.

Hi Roberto, it just came in. Now that was fast shipping. I will need a link to the manual. I could not find it on the website. And a link to the correct device driver for windows 8 64bit.
The board is found as a teensy on com 20 in mission planner but i suspect that this is not the correct driver as it fails firmware upload in mission planner.
Upon connecting to USB it blinks for about 6 seconds then the led goes out.
Btw, i also wrote an email about this to the shop.

Btw, i will do my best for the video as soon as the weather gods are more favorable.

Tnx redfox, that takes care of the wiring. I will need the link to the USB device driver anyway for tuning the pids and radio calibration. Do you use mission planner build 1.3.5 33055 or a beta?
As for arming the board, do i need a button?
Btw, this pc connects to Pixhawk and Apm without problems.

Hi Drill,
so for connect by usb to mission planner you need to power up the board by BEC on +5volt near the SD Card then after the board finish the booting flashing ... the blue led flashing connect the usb ... at that moment you install the proper driver that you found in this repository :
http://vrbrain.wordpress.com/vr-%CE%BCbrain/
After this sequence you can found the board as vrbrain micro with a serial port assigned and you can connect to mission planner ... tomorrow will be ready a video tutorial that explain this procedure and cable connection.

We are waiting that the pull request is accepted by Michael so the vrx driver will be available in APM directory .
