At least you got to fly yours.

Ours won't work. Every time we take it to the field the
transmitter shows to have dead batteries. Even when
we put new batteries in it at the field. When we get home
it is fine, runs up and down the street fine.. Three times
now!

We have two, Brad is going to change the radio and see
if the other one will work. He has been busy working on
the RC sail boats so it will be a while.

For those that don't look at the boat section, here is what
he is working on:

We went to the field today but it was real windy and started
raining so we came home.

Looks like you need to order a few things??

Thats nothing, just use some 5 minute epoxy, and you can have it back in the air tomorrow.

Hello Kimber, don't take anything I say here too seriously cuz I'm new to the hobby. I can't understand why you're tx works fine at home and not at the field. Perhaps interference of some sort or another. I'd try another location, a mall parking lot (sunday early) and see if it runs up and down like you say. TX sounds okay to me if it works at home....then again, waa do I kno? Peace and best of luck, btw Sail boat look supa fine.

Oh well lol. Happens to everyone..

Kimber, I would try to fly it. If the batteries are fresh out of the package, then there's absolutely no way that meter is correct.

It beeps and the plane will not respond, it beeps as well,
like the transmitter is off.

At home all is normal.. it has happened at two different
fields..

Well I started repairs this evening. All went smooth till I ran out of Gorilla glue. I guess its off to Fred Meyer to get some supplies.

This foam is really hard and got broken up pretty bad. I had to rig up some bracing for the inside of the nose to get it back into shape. Ugly, but it will be inside so who cares, right?

Toothpicks glued into fuse and they should be set up enough to finish re-construction of the nose by the time I get back from the store.
