How did the rest of the afternoon go Ron? I wonder if adding a nickel of nose weight is too much. The plane did fly level but looked a bit sluggish.

Big Huge Thermals before the rain

Good CX2 flying session earlier this afternoon at the Steveston High Thermal farm. Big thermals flowing through from the west. Slowly dialing in the trims for the different flight modes. Learning that small trim adjustments can make really noticeable performance changes. Really happy how my speed mode allows the CX2 to penetrate upwind with no ballast.

3rd flying session since I swapped my Airtronics RX-631 receiver for a new one trying to find the root cause of my intermittent servo oscillation problems. So far it has not happened again. Fingers crossed...

Another fine day of hat suckers here in Richmond.

Is anyone planning to go to to Olympia on July 14th?

Meiche you are having to much fun with that CX2. Is the P2 not jealous?

Weather forecast for Saturday

It's not looking good for Saturday. As of right now (Wed night) they are calling for 15 mm of rain. The forecast is much better for Monday. Is moving to Monday an option?

The other possible issue is flooding. The Fraser is suppose to peak this weekend but it is lower than previous years so hopefully Andersons is OK.

Cool, me too.

Had some nice flying late this evening. Played around with using the variable rate switch to be able to adjust camber while flying. Discovered my float mode seems to work better with more camber than I was using.

I'd like to wait a bit before giving up on Saturday.

Moving Mission Handlaunch to Monday July 2nd

Given the weather forecast for tomorrow (15-20 mm rain expected) we are going to move to Monday. Sorry to those who can't make Monday. Hopefully some of those who did not respond can make Monday as well?

We will be in the usual location

Hopefully we can get some new people out. Everyone is welcome.
