Well, yes, they are a bit heavy (22g versus stock 14g), but I put them near the RX and the COG is a bit toward the nose. But the plane is still flyable very well.
I just received, this evening from HK, the Nano-Tech 260 mAh 35/70C
The weight is 15,25g. I'll try them tomorrow after work and I'll report my flight time.

With such a short airframe, it seems easier to correct mistakes (over input on elevator when flaring, or flaring too high) when you are a bit faster.
really? I've been having great success hand launching over a high grassy field and for landings I've been real successful with a slow high alpha mush/stall at about a foot above the grass. I also fly sailplanes/ gliders and it helps in getting the feel for bleeding speed with the elevator while using very little or no throttle. With any kind of head wind at all dead stick landing haven't been too difficult at all..

A little morning flying. Pretty rough - cold thumbs and too many days away from the sticks.

Hello Alain,
this afternoon I flew my Gee Bee with the Nano-Tech 260 mAh and the GWS 5030 propeller: 5:30 minutes. The LiPo absorbed 245 mA when recharged (it was at 3.7V per element).
I'm very happy about these results!!

Hello Egicar

Me too, this afternoon I flew my Gee Bee with the original battery. The flight is 3:30 minutes and after, 30% remains in the battery.

I used a small tester :

I used four battery so I can make several flights

Best regards

Hello Alain,

I have read the Volts on my GT-Power A6-10 charger, at the beginning of the charge process, and I've read the mA at the end of the process, at full charge.
Me too I have 4 x 260 mAh LiPo ... + 1 x 200 mAh stock LiPo + 5 x 350 mAh LiPo.
I use the 350 mAh in my MiniSwift as well.
If all these new 260 mAh will work good, I'll buy 6 of them at HK in the next days.
I also have to say that the GWS 5030 (mine are black ) propellers are very good! IMO, better than the stock one: more balanced and less Amp. draw.

Hello Egicar,

If this propeller is better, I command !
Another question of the plug of the battery 260 mah purchased at HK.
Is it compatible with the plug inside the GeeBee?

Best regards
Alain

Hello Alain,

you can find these propellers at HK as well.
About the LiPo plug, it is perfectly compatible with the Gee Bee female.
I also bought this adapter, so I can charge up to six LiPo in paralel with my charger.

Best regards,
Egidio

modell-hobby-spiel 2012 - Gee Bee Air Race (4 min 13 sec)

Compare with non-AS3X Pole Cat racing....

PF Indoor fly Dec 11 Pole Cat RACING (2 min 21 sec)

It would probably make and even bigger difference outdoors.

Hello Egidio

With this adapter, can you charge up to six LiPo in the same time with the original charger ?

Best regards
Alain
