1933 Gere Sport Bi-Plane

A friend of mine gave me an old balsa wood kit that's been partially put together, not even sure if all the parts are here, anyways I looked at the plans for this plane and they are so faded and damaged, its really hard to read. ive been looking on line for some plans or something I could go by to finish building this 20 year old plane. I have some pics included and specs, if anybody can help me out ill buy the plans.. please I really need some help.....

I am currently building a bud nosen gere sport kit, I have the plans but they are in pretty bad shape also, you can get a copy off e bay, cheaper than I could copy mine for you, I was looking at you pictures, cant tell much about wings etc, but the fuselage is different than mine, of course the builder may have had his own ideas. I could send you pictures of anything you want to see, plans ,my current build, etc. would love to see you finish this one.

That's really sweet.

You do know those interplane 'N' struts are in the wrong place, right?

the engine and electronics were also in it to check. the only thing I don't like so far is the engine spark plugs stick out to far with the caps on. but I will deal with it as its NOT scale anyway. just hopefully a nice EASY slow Sunday flier.

I never worry about engine parts sticking out, but some people do. Gere Sport is a home built design and people have stuck all kinds of engines on the fronts of full scale airplanes.

I figured the struts were just stuck in temporary; google Gere Sport images and you will find scale drawings that will be helpful.

They are very good Sunday fliers. My friends dad had one back in the early 80's we flew all the time. It was fun. Finally met its demise when we got board and used it as an airborne aircraft carrier and did touch and goes off the wing.

I think the EAA still has manuals that include a lot of details for this airplane. Check 'em out!
