And it breaks like a foamie Wing loading is high, yes ... that really isn't the problem though ... It is just so delicate to go with it!
(Still ... looks great in the air though )

Thats the point though ... You don't NEED to crash it to BREAK it!!
(Retracts too weak - tailwheel too weak .. when they go - so can the gear doors - the bomb bay and the nacelles.)

Oh ... and of course the props ... Lets not forget the props ... they go too ...

Now for those of us who have perfect runways .. these points are probably of little consequence. Now hands up those with perfect runways.....

My V2 arrived this morning

Very nicely boxed, night and day from the V1.

I would sooner have this and have to be careful how and where I fly it than no Lancaster none at all. Unless I scratch build my own!
A 1700mm version would be nice but I would probably have nowhere to store it, or transport it even. Unless the wings are easily removable
I for one am glad to have this plane and enjoy flying it

Wish you well with it Mark.

I am a little envious, I have to admit, but maybe there is a better version out there in the wings.

BTW, now they intend flying the East Kirkby Lancaster too, what are the chances we might get a ride in that?

I would love one at 73"/1855mm,
And a B-24 at 78"/1980mm.
At these sizes it would make them the same scale as the 1875mm B-17!!

in flight pix

Now that I have a second Lanc tucked away in my workshop I'm a lot happier to take the old V1 Lanc out with out the fear of loosing it in a crash.
so today with no wind at all I took her out for fly and my good lady came along to get some pix in less than ideal lighting conditions.

I always say it, but I do love this plane it looks and sounds awesome and I keep the roll rate low so the turns are kept scale, and avoiding any tip stalling problems.
