Clean solder joints.
Not sure what pwm settings are?? Freq up dates? 8 or 16? I have the Dlux programing card so I can see all the setting easy. I am using 12S... With or with out the amp meter it does it... It happens just over 30 amps.. like 1/4 throttle... very loud screeching... not studdering not cutting off.... makes loud screeching.. The ESC stays cool how ever long it runs.. even at 27 amps... cold!... then at that magic amount when it makes the noise... about 30 to 31 amps... the ESC gets very hot instantly like after finishing 3 very hard flights back to back. I think it has to do with the Motor and ESC not matching up right... If that is possible. I have been using Turnigy Dlux ESC's in everything for years with NO problems.. until this motor and a Hobby King Motor the G something. |

here is a video of what it is doing...
Not the same motor but the same thing... I think its these larger motors.. The Dlux ESC cant handle the timing?

Try to re-program timing to low and freq. to 8 to see hat it does. I have found that some motor/ESC are not very compatable, but normally would give you sign of it as soon as you apply the stick. Be careful not to overheat that ESC while playing up with it, while ago I burned the complete EDF jet to ashes using Scorpion130 not being compatable with my ARC motor. At the fraction of throttle movement, even before the fan turned the ECS overheated to the point that the model caught fire burning the lot inc. 12S/4000 packs. All there was left was 6' long Delta impression in the grass. See my shots in the Lipo fire Thread, Joe.

I tried running a Rimfire 65 cc on a Turnigy DLUX 160 HV and it was a disaster,,,,
It would just stutter and make noises and I probably almost ruined both. I bought a CC ,and everything runs flawless ! If you want to run the big stuff, buy the good stuff. Never a problem with the CC Esc's ,,plus you get the data logging,,,,Priceless! |

well the Dlux for me on the 50cc rimfire was horriable... sounded like 1,000 Cats in heat on a full moon + fingernails on a chalk board.
I was reading on the Fourms more.... I found ware some are using the ZTW-B Series with good results and no bad results unlike the Dlux mixed reviews. I ordered both the Castle and the ZTW-B Series. Will report on both! Well we know the CC will work just fine... but at a price! lol I dont mind paying to play but why toss away a Benjamen Franklin if you dont have to, ya know!! Thats another 6S, 5000mah Battery! |

In the video are you running 12s? It looks like a 6s battery. It apperars its hitting LVC ( Low Voltage Cutout) This would be normal. I didnt hear the squeeling but thats a timing issue. Try Low first. The PWM should be OK if low doesnt do the trick try High. I think the ESC will work because if there were other issues you wouldnt get what you have in the video.

Actually if you guys read post #5 it says...
("Not the same motor but the same thing... I think its these larger motors.. The Dlux ESC cant handle the timing?") I had two different motor, esc, battery, set ups. 1. Motorfly DM-4325-380 @ 6s 1. RimFire 50cc @ 12s Both motors turns out to be great... it was the lower grade esc that the timing could not match the motor. I got two ESC's by Castle Creations... 1-100amp & 1-120amp HV. Both motors run super awesome thanks to trusty Castle Creations ESC's! |
