Here's one suggestion...by Tomhe
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=867416
and another... by Ewo
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=207549

Both are F16's with the 2nd one being the more simple build as it is litterally only 2 pieces. With the Wildhawk gear you could use the rudder servo for ailerons as a 1 servo set up hooked to both ailerons and one servo for elevator. Again, the 2nd link, which is Ewo's, has this set up mentioned in the thread.

Check them out.
Otherwise, just about any parkjet here (I am partial to Dekan's version of Kosh's F22 and GPW's Blue Albacorde) if built light could do OK with that brushed set up out of the WH. Just have to pay attn to CG.

F22... http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=740049
Blue Albacorde... http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=372912

Hope that helps and post what you decided on.
We'll be watching.

Good decision. Simple plane, awesome flyer and on the first page of Dekan's thread is Fangar's build video. Watch it.
It's like 20 minutes long but details every part of the build, including setting up the elevon controls. Really simple. If your radio has mixing you are golden, if not you need a mixer. Like I use with my old radio. Elevons are aileron, elevator mixed. I can explain more later if needed, gota go to work.

Watch the vid & keep the questions coming if you still have any.

and God Bless!

This is the one I use. $3.00 before shipping.
Just a cheapo and works fine. Course, this alone from HK you will pay more on shipping. Might find it more local.

If you are doing an order in the future, you could add one and hardly add weight to the order. It's that small and light.

Back to work, boss is lurking...

It's simple. The mixer is like a mini 2 chnl receiver that takes the functions of aileron/rudder (either or) and splits this function to both seperate elevons and does the same with the elevator functions. The mixer has 2 connectors that plug into the 1 and 2 chnls (1...aileron, 2...elevator) on the rx. It also has 2 ports in it that the 2 servos plug into which is why I describe it as being "like" a mini rx. The mixer takes the signals for the aileron and elevator functions when the stick is moved and splits them to both control surfaces.

1. move stick up & down, BOTH elevons move up & down.
2. move stick left to right, BOTH elevons move LIKE ailerons. 1 up, 1 down depending on rt or lt.

All you have to do is plug the servo's into the mixer and then plug the mixer into the rx. Then just test it. If things move backwards or incorrect, it just means you have the wires in the wrong ports. Then just switch them.

Sounds a bit confusing at first but become really simple once you see it in action. The mixer also has little writing on it telling you which plug is aileron and which is elevator. And it will come with instructions.

Hope that helps some.

If you want a jet and dont want to mess with mixing look into RC foam fighters. They have a f22 and f18 that are Elevator alieron no mixing required. I built a f18 and it flys great! http://rcfoamfighters.com/blog/

Here ya go... an F16 by Ewo.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=207549

It is all of 2 pieces and they just slide together. 1 servo for ailerons and one servo for elevator. Doesn't get any easier than that.
I been dying to build this guy for a while. I am surprised that this plane doesn't get more attn.

Check him out. Ewo's planes are all good ones.

Your best bet for a build guide is the actual thread of the plane you are going to build. Read through that thread and the folks that have built that plane and post there are the best suited to answer questions specific to that plane.

Also, check out Tomhe's website. All of his plans are there. And there may be more information regarding the builds.
http://rc.tomhe.net/

I haven't built this one, tho I have printed the plans long ago, so many builds, so little time. So I am ill suited to offer advice other than read through his thread.

One thing you could do is look through all the pics with the thread image browser and that should show you a lot as well.

Hope that helps at least a little. Sorry I couldn't help more than that.
