Lost white w/red tip Explorer X2 last seen on approximately 9AM Dec 1st F3J in the Desert. Aircraft was on approach South-East corner of the field heading North just over and slightly passed the row of trees about 150 feet high. I started to bank the wings like you would while in a thermal for a few seconds and one we could not locate the plane I leveled it. Just after we surched the area for about 1/2 hour and then after the contest every one joined in looking around and till nothing

We looked again after everyone left on Sunday. Searched the entire lumber yard, roofs included. No luck. It's either buried in the cotton field, or someone picked it up soon after the accident.
Bummer about the loss. Hopefully you still had a good time.
