can you guys recommend a good prop for the Aeroworks Yak 54 50cc ?
(and one that will not need modification to fit)

What engine are you using?

Great list Kpilot. For myself i am running a DLE 55 with a Xoar 23A prop. In my opinion its the perfect setup. Especially glad i went with the DLE engine.

I still can't figure out what DLE stands for though, is it Desert Little Engines? LOL cause DA is Desert Aircraft... what is it?

I got a dle 55cc. right now I got the 22x8 by prozinger.

so, being new to giant scale, what size would be good for 3d and which for aerobatics with the Yak ? (I am used to fly 3d with electric 60" planes and wanted a good 3d fit)

Speed is smaller and more pitch, so for 3D, reverse that.

Vess 23A for 3D. If you want to sport fly 23B. The 23B can also be used for 3D if you want to have a little more torque. 23B is what I use on my DLE55 and it works vary well. What ever you do, DO NOT STRIKE THE GOUND!! The Vess prop is a very good prop but it will blow apart if it strikes the ground. I had a brand new one on my Taylor craft, while putting it in the trailer the prop just grazed the door jamb and chiperooo, ruined it.

will it actualy give this aerobatic design plane a more 3d performance ? (other than the pilot that is

I also use both sizes 23A and B, but so far I have liked the 23A overall. A little bit higher RPM and the engine has been running a few degrees cooler as well.

I don't get it... what's the "A" mean? I've never used a Vess prop.

With Ves props they dont give a degree like a 22-6 or 22-8. They use A,B and C. A is the flattest pitch and usaly what to use for extreme 3D. B is in the middle somewhere between 6-8. C is the most pitch with is like 8-12. All vess props are Varable pitch props engineered for maximum performance. As I said earlier great props but dont let it hit the ground.
