Question
Hobbycity motor for DR1

Would this be a good replacement for a Rimfire GPMG4560?

Want to find a new motor for my Great Planes Fokker DR1.

It's a bit heavier. Otherwise it's probably OK.

I had two of those RimFires in my Fokker DVII and SE5A. Took them both out after discovering they were both developing more heat than prop turning ability. Those motors are rated at 14 amps continuous, but at that current level, you can just about fry eggs on it.

I replaced mine with motors that develop 890 kV with an honest 14 amp continuous duty current level; The E-Flite Park 450 890 kV.

This is not to say that I recommend the Park 450. It just means that any motor that actually can run at 14 amps all day at around 890 kV will work great in your plane.
