His wife must of glued them to the ceiling as a way of telling him he's spending too much time in the shop!

WOW~!!! That's funny! You would think with as many photos I take a week I'd be able to at least get the orientation right.

I started putting the 1/4 balsa FA structure together yesterday but kept getting drug away for other "projects". Should have the the stick portion of the fuse done this week however my youngest is on spring break so will be spending some time with her and the Mrs.

Well, I've been slowly working on the 195. Summer, family activities and work have taken most of my time including any time to fly either my 172 or any RC (other than little stuff around the house). Hoping to take my GS Supersporter up tomorrow.

Today, I had no kids, no wife and then realized I built the side backwards to accommodate the door so I'm cutting and rebuilding them.

I have my RDS pieces done and the tail wheel assembly almost done. I have some photos I will post shortly but just trying to get my mind off my hasty mistake which is gonna cost me more time.

Just wish I could retire and dedicate more time to something in enjoy. LOL!

Retirement=enjoyment. Ask me how I know.

It's too bad that you need to rebuild a fuselage side.

Post pics when you can.

I think you had so much fun building it the first time you were looking for a reason to build that side again!

It's not a R/C build without a few mistakes! Now if I could just get my builds down to a few mistakes....

I'm Back!

So after a non-stop summer and fall season of fires and a major water loss at my house, I have moved my building room, again, and am back on the plane.

I cut new formers, plywood etc. to get myself back to were I was before August. Ordered the landing gear and wing tube today from http://www.tntlandinggear.com/ and am in the process of planning locations to mount servos, receiver, fuel tank etc.

Aluminum servo adapters for rotary drive systems were turned during the fall. I hope to get some time this weekend. My New Years resolution, besides flying my full scale plane once a month, is to work at least one hour a day (and making up on days I don't have time) to the 195.

Nice to have you back and your resolution sounds quite ambitious! New shop looks good, let the building begin!

Had a slight delay in getting some of these photos uploaded...Work took off and have been typing like crazy for the past two months to get caught up. Also had to install a pool heater and open the pool itself up to make the ladies happy.

In February, my grandfather who's plane I am modeling this one after passed away. I took the opportunity to get over a 100 photos of his full-scale 195 and measurements to try and get it as accurate as possible.

I was fortunate to speak to him shortly before he passed and provided some details about how my project was coming. He threw me for a loop when he said the step operated with the door so I've been working on how I will make that happen!

I've made some progress on the 195 in my free time. So far, the fuselage has been built up and working on getting the horizontal completed.

I've also started to get a wing panel built but got sidetracked on getting my GS Super Sportster ready to fly this year.
