Help!
New servo comp. with ancient Futaba 6ch

I got the freq. issues cleared up with my old 1988 Futaba FP-6FG/K and after doing some range testing and flying, decided to look into some newer and smaller servos. What can I use that is readily available today? I understand I will have to solder on my old style connectors to use my old 2-ton RX. I see so many different types on the market and don't have a clue what will or will not work.

Thanks in advance....

Mainline servos are just about 100% "mixable". I say mainline because I am sure there are some servos that require an odd signal input. In short, any Futaba, Hitec, Airtronics, JR, or GWS will be just fine.

As Bill said, any modern servo will work with that vintage radio, though servo centering will be a tad off, but no bigie.
Just recently I was in a thread where this issue came up and someone named a scource of Futaba "G" to "J" connector adaptors, beats cutting off the new style plugs that you may well be switching to somewhere down the road
Good luck,
Pete
