Folding props ??
Are folding props OK on a 3d Foamy ?
Ive run into a batch of really really brittle motor shafts. I want to keep flying untill I sort out another motor (or some better shafts) . The originals were really strong, the latest 2 ...crap. Break at the circlip groove.

Hi 1101, i tried these in the summer as i was learning rolling loops and was going through a lot of props. Basically they suck for 3D, they don't have any thrust compared to a normal prop because the area is much less. You could go a prop bigger than you were using to help though. But another problem is they are VERY heavy, with the casing, shaft and everything it was surprisingly heavy.
Still another downfall, the throttling up and down was very saggy, no good for 3D.
Try a motor with a 5mm bolt on shaft, i have a SK3 2822 1275kv which weighs 31g and this has a 5mm bolt on shaft.
