Pic is from a few years back when GE was using a 747-100 as their "test bed" for the GEnx engines used on 787 & now 747-8.

I finally got the rest of the brown for the tail.
I posted earlier the the brown was of a better quality vinyl. I wasn't sure that I would cover my next model in vinyl but after using the better quality material,,, I sure will.
Well this is how far I am.
I still havn't found any motors yet and thats why the necells are not attached.
(I hate to be cheap but $80 per motor sure seams to be alot for a foam plane)
But I will keep looking. If $80 motors will work and get me off the grass,,,Than so be it.
Hard to see in the picture but I did cut in flaps and they work well.
I will cover the necells in white with a brown ring around the front. Even though it's not on the real plane I think it will tone down all the white.
Any other motor suggestions......... Let me know

Lil Hoss.. Looks good.. Are they Mings UPS decals? (I still got a ways.. Doing my nose gear doors now) I got some of that vinyl you write about.. Experimenting, I found It can be pulled too thin if not careful.... lWould you have spent the $80.00 money if it wasn't foam?

They are not "that" bad.

Looking real good Hoss Did you use the Scotchcal 220 for the whole aircraft or just for the tail section? Cheers!

We had fog all day that finally burnt away so by the time the bird got into the air, it was a race against the setting sun. Visibility was still excellent, and the navigation and landing lights were just simply awesome! I'll have to see if some pics I took are worthy to post, but this was one thing you just had to see with your own eyes- if you know what I mean.

Doug can certainly fly. I hope I can prove myself to be at least a third of how good! Was a good 82 day stretch of no rain!

Thanks Guys, unfortunately it seems the weather has taken a turn for the worse in considering flying. Furthermore, the more I contemplate flying off the grass field I usually use, the more I decide against this. The Grass is a bit tall and now usually wet.
@ Doug, when the construction site is fully functional, what would be your next option? or rather where is your second private runway located?

@ Neil, How's your build coming along. I'm ready to maiden the Ethiopian however, I have no idea where to fly now

I'm also itching to order my second W737 (winter build ) as long as Doug promise's this time to do build the Fowler flaps for me as I'm no where close to that level of craftsmanship.
