Do i miss something here?
Are you sure you placed them right? I have XL arms as well and can place 13" without a problem.

It does depend how you install them.

I've tried both, and had problems with the lipo on the clean side (excessive vibration). So I moved it back down . Using 4000 4s
Flying with a 5000 4s on the bottom. I had it on top in the beginning and no vibrations. Though I like it more on the bottom below. For weight lifting instead of pushing it in the air.

Genivos, Thanks for your reply, which give me hope that I can still figure out to fix the 13" props.
Could you please post a pic of your 13" quad?
How many screws do you use to tighten the xl arm?
Thanks

You're welcome. I will try to explain. The straight part of the arm is pointing to the back or front of the frame. The both not straight sides are pointing towards each other. Hope you can see it on the picture. Difficult to show. But you can install them in such way that they are pointing more far away from each other.

I will try to upload pics tomorrow morning

Thanks again Genivos,
I follow your post above, and now sure i can use 13" props on them

The "angled" corners of the front and the back arms should face each other.

Big thanks.

Yep, exactly, that's it. Couldn't find the word angled. Lol. Glad I could help.

I could also finally upload my photo from a laptop. Not that it is still needed but who knows, for others in the future. I'm flying now with 12" props. On the photo I put 13"props in place which also fit fine.

I'm in the process of doing a few parts replacement after a crash last week (two ESC's, 2 motors) on my Flip FPV frame. Lost radio signal from my DX6 out over the muddiest damn field in central Indiana. Already ordered a Taranis X9D+ to eliminate that issue though. Still running the SS2212-980's with HQ 9x4.5 props, but would like to get a set of good CF 9 or 10" props for it. I'm not sure what a good set might be that will fit on the Sunnysky threaded motor mounts using the M5 locknuts.. Any suggestions please?

What CF prop do you want to buy?
My personal experience with the cheap CF prop is terrible.
I now use APC Multi-rotor Prop or Graupner eProps only, no Cheap chinese cf prop.

Just getting back in to hobby and want to get my flip finished. I want to run a front gimbal, and most likely this will be a H2D, but was looking for opinions on which controller to run with. Going to use my taranis by not decided on APM, pixhawk or naxa-m, so wondering what peoples thoughts are please?
Mike.

I have APC on mine and could not be happier. I have tried many different props and always gone back to the APC.

Look at the Eagle Tree Vector I have been happy with mine. It's easy to set up and has built in osd.

I dont mind paying for a couple sets of Graupners and looked at them but wasnt sure on the bore selections and didnt want to screw a set up trying to bore them to whatever it needs to be. Hence the reason I added I was using the SS motors with their bolt on threaded M5 adapters.

for Graupners, you can buy the one with 5mm bore to fit on your ss motors. I have these on my Flip 360 FPV powered by sunnysky x2216 motors - can't beat the price from Towerhobbies with club discount:

note: Hole Diameter: 0.197, 0.23, 0.314" (5, 6, 8mm)
On my full size FPV, i bought the 8mm bore 13"x8" prop, and buy adapters (8mm to 5 mm) from getfpv.com. : http://www.getfpv.com/catalogsearch/...Graupner+Props
