Happy new model boat year to all. So this will start the thread to follow the events ( as I find out about them) up here in the PNW and Western Canada ( add in if from this region so we all know). Will update and post reports here as well. So let's get this party started for 2013!
First up is the annual Hobby Expo in Monroe Wa, Feb 8-10. This nis the same location as the last few years with the exception that it has been MOVED to 2 other buildings on the Eastern side of the fairgrounds. For more information go to their web site. http://www.nwmhe.com/

Not aproblem as long as I know about them or other that know post it here we will all be able to be kept informed! Like I said , first up is the Hobby show wqith a pond and the new president of NW r/c Shipmodelers has mad e a tenitive schedual for events to happen on the water including some contest!

Ok here is the heads up again for the hobby show this upcomming weekend in Monroe. The NW R/C Shipmodelers are planning on a whole lot of fun events on the water this year. Bring boats to run, show, trade, but above all come on out for a fun day or weekend of all r/c modeling fun. I wil be there helping a vendor again and maybe some run time on the pond.

Not a problem a snot very one always makes it. Best thing ab out the Hobby Expo is getting to see all the old freinds, meet new ones, and talk to people about the hobby and try to get them started. Since I work in the Scale Shipyard booth, I spend a lot of time talking about warships and history with many ( not to mention tugs as well). Good time to catch up with pold freinds when the business side slows down in the evening and maybe even get a chance or 2 to go run boats in the pond near by....
Note to all those loking at going: the hours have been exstended to 8pm on both Friday and Saturday nites.

I know of at least two from the island heading there for the bargains! Lets see what they find.
