Hey hey hey, don't want any zero-mocity out there. I was just wanting to try and make sure we have a good showing at the fest and that the guys that want to build and play get a chance. I'd love for everyone that would like a slope scale kit to get one with NO restrictions. Greg and I are just trying to think of the best way to make sure the folks that will join in on this build are the ones that are going to try and fly at the fest. EVERYONE is welcome to buy kits and or join in here on the groups to build and share the fun.

I'm sorry if I sounded restrictive at all regarding kits or joining in on the fun, that's not my intention.

Ok, now that there's enough chaff to blow away the fainthearted, I can talk about what we're thinking about for the signup...

We would like this build to be folks that can make the 2013 Inland Slope Rebels (ISR) PSS fest and will show up with a completed, flyable Zero. Greg may not be as much of a hard arse as me on the next idea but I think if you got in on the Spit or Airacobra build but didn't build one or both, it's time to let someone else get in on this one. If I don't like you then forget about signing up. If you don't like me then screw you if you don't like rules then go somewhere else (or this is the place for you!) If your still reading this then you should be rewarded with a kit or something.

Anyway, blah blah blah keep your eyes peeled for more information (or sarcasm),
Jim

Rules and regulations? I thought they were just guidelines.

Man you crash early to get some sleep and the thread goes from zero to nero in a heartbeat! Believe me, neither Jim nor I like rules anymore than the rest of you rebels.

But as Jim inferred, try as we might there will be a limited number of kits and it really pains us to not see all of them built and flying (either PSSfest or somewhere else in the world) when there are builders who end up without one. then we feel bad (you should read some of the pleading PM's!) when we don't have anymore kits.

So we're not going to go over the previous builds and eliminate anyone, but please wait and buy a short kit later if you don't think you'll be able to build for May 2013.

Thanks Greg and Jim
For all the work you guys do to put this together.
The cobra build and the Fake Fest were the best time I have had in this hobby.
I got into the build late. But still produced a plane in time.
It was a lot of fun. You guys welcomed me into your group and gave my help and encouragement. Even incredible picture of my plane high over the Cajon pass. ( it's my screensaver to this day)
I thank you both for that.
I will respect any rules that you put in place.
As for the build . Anything that is required I intend to fill that requirement.
Thanks for taking your precious hobby time to make all this happen.

Yep, like those white signs with black numbers on California highways, simply guidelines.

You are absolutely correct. Rule #4 is most definitely in play here.

Your Correct Bruce (Previously known as Nauga )
Rule 4 is heavily enforced at the Manilla slope fest. Rule 4 transcends time and continents

Man, my old SS zero sure flew well. I gotta get it flyable again. But I want to put as LITTLE effort into fixing and finishing it as possible so as not to curse it by making it too pretty and therefore a target for instant destruction.

I call this Zero Scaping. (It's a lot like how I treat my lawn.)
