It's worth a shot. That prop has been great for me on an Electrifly Rifle and on my friend's SR3. I'll try it out next weekend.

Be warned: this is just a mock-up

Following the latest craze I was too tempted to explore the possibility.
Mounted (loosely) a HK H3126 to the miniHawk fuse, stuffed a 2S2200 as far back as possible and a 3S2200 in front of it. Right behind the firewall I placed a Himodel 100A and mounted the wing. CG at 40mm.
I think that with the longer fuselage of the HK Reverb, a carefully chosen pair of 4S lipos (or what sums up to about 4S3000) for the 1600kv or 5S of equal size for the 1300kv it will be possible to run this combo with a 7x13-ish folding prop.

Just some crazy thoughts from a dude which still has to use his motherinlaw's kitchen table for the tinkering

So.....tempted anyone?
(I'm putting the 16/25 back in but will be playing with the thought of it....)

Dude I've been following the Swist thread and had that exact same idea of putting a big outrunner on the front of the firewall. Balance will be the only challenge. I have an old MSH Protos 500 helicopter motor sitting around. 800 Kv and 180 grams. I'm thinking 12s. 2x 6s 1200 mAh 30C Gens Ace and the HW 70A HV ESC. Prop for about 40 amps and 1.75 kW. Maybe get a Reverb close to 200 mph? Those packs are 175 grams and 105x34x24 mm. Hopefully they can fit far back enough in the fuse to get a decent CG.

With a 180g in front of the motormount you won´t be able to balance correctly without a ton of weight in tha tail, if you add such a heavy battery pack.....

I´m using a 180g motor in the back of the motormount (standard position), and even with a 180g batery I need around 40-50g in the tail

What are the dimensions of your battery? With very thin packs, one might be able to slide them far enough back into the fuse to get a decent CG.

Also what 180 gram motor are you using?

Yeah that will be a great motor for the Swift. With a 5.25x4.75 you will probably get about 160 mph. 150 mph with a 4.75x4.75.

I like to use a 5x5 w/the 2W25 on 4s. definitely faster than 160

108x35x23, I push it back until it touches the wing nut

The motor is an axi 2826/10 I had around here, not even 600W, but it´s a good brick to build a bit of speed in the dives and hold some energy in the fly bys

Hmmm. I haven't messed with mine yet, but if you can't get the battery any farther back than that then I agree it will be an issue. Maybe a 36 mm inrunner on the inside of the firewall would be a good option.

You can push a 2S2200 all the way back beyond the wing nut and use a 3S2200 or similar size in the normal position. With the ESC up front and e.g an AR7000 under the canopy with the sat in the tail above the elevator servo you can use a 150g outrunner in front of the firewall an find a CG between 45 and 50mm. Best guess based on the mockup posted earlier.

Maybe they'll get the Swift/Reverb in stock soon? They also stock the Flying Fish (they call it the Genesis) which can be converted to electric.
