V929 Tx V911 or Devo??

I bought a couple V929 after realizing the MQX was too expensive to supply my nephews and cousins that have shown a interest in Rc copters.

I added up the repair parts costs and realized it was cheaper to just get another another airframe.
But when I started shopping the deals on line, some said Devo and some said v911 Tx.
Which flies the v929 better?
And what are there differances?

Thanks, Butch

As far as I know, a Devo Tx will NOT fly a v929 (unless you have replaced the v929 control board/rx with a Walkera Ladybug control board/rx).

As far as I know, a v911 Tx will fly a v929, as well as something called something like a Turnigy/9x Tx.

There are 2 large threads on the v929 in this forum somewhere.

I think the Devo has been hacked to work with a variety of protocols. I don't know exactly which models or how involved this procedure is. Check this out and make your own decisions: http://www.deviationtx.com/. Recommendations for the Devo are related to future purchase considerations, which are hard to predict for a gift. I don't think you are going to want to buy $80 transmitters to use with V929 gifts.

Thanks, I forgot about this.
I think you need to load the modified software on your own after you buy the Devo,
and as Balr14 mentions, they seem to have been concentrating on Devo Tx's which by themselves cost more than a V929 RTF package.

You would also need to install a 9x compatible module on a devoted tx, it does not work for this protocol without internal and software modification. Better to just buy the 929s in an rtf package, more d/r functions with the 929 tx

The listing I'm talking about, is for a RTF version with a Devo 4 Tx.

Also heres the other listing for a upgrade to a V911.

The first listing is totally bullsh*t. Forget it, they are totally wrong. Beside this Devo 4 is crap.

The second uses "v911 upgrade " as advertising. There's no upgrade.

Get a v929 or wait for the v949 (v929 with switchable lights) RTF .
You can fly vour v929 with the v911 TX but the v929 has special ratemodes for the v929.

Take a look at this transmitter list for alternatives:

WLtoys V929 V939 Beetle 4-Axis Quadcopter 2.4G Transmitter

The 9x TX (Flysky or Turnigy) is the best one for v911/v929/v939/v949 !

Don't you have a v929 TX ?

I just got a V929 with the V929/V939 Tx.
I've got a couple flights on it and wanted to start shopping for V929's for Xmas.

When I read that the Devo Tx came with the V929, I really got confused.
And then another saying the V911 was a upgrade, didn't make any sense!
Some of the earlier threads called the V929 and Ladybug, then later a Beetle, so its taking me a bit to sort out what is what.
Thanks for the help, Butch

That web page says that Walkera makes the v929, which is wrong.

I think that mirrors the confusion that came from the v929 manufacturer.

I have an old JR 9# PCM TX, and I was going to buy the Turnigy 9X 9Ch tx to fly my v911,
but then i saw this module http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Module_RX.html
From frsky to convert my JR to ACCST
my question is since they are almost the same price, and I prefer to use only one TX,
Can I fly my V911 with this Module on my JR 9# ?
if so will it be easy to to bind & make all the settings working on the heli, since I read in many threads, it's a tricky to make the rudder work,
thanks

No you can't, FlySky (needed for v911/v929/v393 etc) != FrSky

Turnigy TX = Flysky TX / Same tech same TX protocol.
"Flysky" is always used as a name for the transmission protocol this tx (and other) is using

FrSky uses a different transmission protocol
