Hobby King T6A problem

My channel 6 is way off. All other channels seem to work just fine, but channel 6 is not moving much. I can se it in the programing T6config too. There is only a little travel i one direction and none in the other. I am used to setting up a Tx, but normally it is Futaba 7C or other similar. All is fine except channel 6.

it might be the end point settings. I ran into a similar problem setting up elevons on my TX.

The end points may be actually set to near zero, even though the screen shows 100%.
Set all the end points and save the settings. I don't think the software defaulted to the end point settings at first.

Smurf,

Did you fix your problem? If not, try this:

Attach your radio to your computer, and launch T6config.

In T6config, click on "GetUser." Then click on "Save" and save your current confuguration under a name like "Default Settings" in a directory you can find later.

Now, set your radio up as follows:

Click on "Type", chose "ACRO."

In "EndPoint," set everything to 100% (all positive 100s, no negative numbers.)

In "Revserve" (sic, should be 'Reverse") uncheck all boxes.

In "SubTrim" set all channels to 0.

In "DR" set all three "DR On" and three "DR Off" to 100.

In "Stick," make sure you choose either "Model 1" or "Model 2" (sic, should be 'Mode 1' or 'Mode 2) depending on which side your throttle stick is on. (Left stick thottle is Mode 2, most likely your setup.)

In "MIX." set up the follow three mixes:

Mix Num "MIX 1"
Source "VR A"
Des "CH5"
Up Rate "100" %
Down Rate "100" %
Switch "ON"

Mix Num "MIX 2"
Source "VR B"
Des "CH6"
Up Rate "100" %
Down Rate "100" %
Switch "ON"

Mix Num "MIX 3"
Source "CH1"
Des "CH1"
Up Rate "0" %
Down Rate "0" %
Switch "OFF"

Set "Switch A," "Switch B," "VR(A)," and "VR(B)" all to "NULL"

VR(A) on the radio (Right Knob) should drive channel 5, and VR(B) (Left Knob) should drive Channel 6. If everything works normally, then the problem lies somewhere in the mixes you were designing.

If Channel 5 works, but you still have a problem seeing full movement of channel 6 in the T6config bargraph, or vice-versa, Change the mixes as follows:

Mix Num "MIX 1"
Source "VR B"
Des "CH5"
Up Rate "100" %
Down Rate "100" %
Switch "ON"

Mix Num "MIX 2"
Source "VR A"
Des "CH6"
Up Rate "100" %
Down Rate "100" %
Switch "ON"

VR(B) should now drive Channel 5, and VR(A) should drive channel 6. If you still have a problem with Channel 6, there is something wrong with your radio's microprocessor chip, and it is probably not economically feasible to fix it. (I think this is very unlikely.)

If, however, the problem has moved to the other channel, you may have a problem with a bad wire on the offending VR potentiometer (this is my guess for your problem.) Open up the radio and inspect the wiring from the pot to the circuit board, and make sure the plugs on the board are fully seated.

Good luck!
