What is the consensus on Blade mSR vs BenMa Helios 100? I am looking at a deal involving my choice. From what I have read, the Helios is a bit more robust and possibly better flying. But I like the fact that Blade is supported by every local hobby shop.

Pros/Cons to either?

Two totally different head setup resulting in very different flying characteristics.

The mSR is the more "hobby grade" because it can be flown with Spektrum's full range of radio. And is supported by almost all the HobbyShops. It's parts are pricey, but you get the support of Horizon Hobby.

The Benma Helios 100 is an offshoot of the hugely popular WLToys v911. It's more beginner friendly than the mSR. And can take much more crashes IMHO.

The v911 can be bound to Hobby Grade, programmable radios that support the FlySky protocol. And complete helis can be had for about $20 shipped. Therefore, it's easy on the wallet when it comes time to replacing parts. It really makes it an unbeatable value.

I really hate that my both my mSR can not fly left at full speed when indoors. Right bank turns are fine though. Most of it's pilots usually just flight right bank circuits.

The v911 can fly both ways well. But what I hate about the v911 is the potential for flybar striking the canopy. There are methods to fix this problem though. And the Helios paddled flybar is one of those methods.

I have MSR/V911/ Helios 100. MSR is best of lot hands down. V911 is a fine basic bird. Helios flys fine but has some weird habbits. Its just different and looks decent. It works fine and had no issues with it. Battery gives good flight times but different size . I don't fly any of these that much but give them a spin once in awhile.

Thanks for the input guys. I went for the mSR. It was a RTF with spares that I traded for my Super CP Bnf.

MSR is fine little heli. Later you may regret selling the super c/p. Pretty good c/p to get ball rolling. Nano QX helps get skills for c/p helis. Quads out fly any f/p heli.

I have a Helios 100 RTF I don't use anymore/ plus a BNF Blade MSR. Helios has two batteries etc/ TX instructions. MSR flys fine I just don't use it. Basic bird bnf and supply one new battery in package. $50.00 for both/ plus postage on you. Helios flys fine and not beat/ MSR is fine not beat. I'll test fly them .
